Balsam Range Concert Tickets
Prepare for an authentic homegrown bluegrass experience once you have your Balsam Range tickets from TicketSmarter. Born out of the incredible friendship between five musicians from Haywood County in North Carolina, the group officially formed in 2007. The acoustic bluegrass band consists of vocalist and fiddle player Buddy Melton, vocalist and mandolin player Darren Nicholson, bassist Tim Surrett, guitarist Caleb Smith and Grammy-winning banjo player Marc Pruett.
As the friends began performing together and gaining buzz around their North Carolina home, they released their debut album Marching Home in 2007. The debut was followed by 2009’s Last Train to Kitty Hawk which features the title track being a hit for the group. In 2011, the group won their first International Bluegrass Music Award after their third album's title track “Trains I Missed” took home the award for Song of the Year. The group has had a number of impressive collaborators along the way, including John Driskell Hopkins of the Zac Brown Band and the Atlanta Pops Orchestra who provided accompaniment on two of their albums. With no signs of stopping, the bluegrass outfit hit #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Chart with their 2019 album, Aeonic.
