Bikini Kill Concert Tickets
Wind up for a night of energetic punk music when you buy Bikini Kill tickets at TicketSmarter. Bikini Kill was originally formed in 1990 by founding members Kathleen Hanna, Billy Karren, Kathi Wilcox and Tobi Vail. Bikini Kill’s first steps toward success came after they created their first demo tape, titled Revolution Girl Style Now! This demo tape garnered the attention of Ian MacKaye of Minor Threat and Fugazi. They produced the band’s first self-titled EP. Shortly after the release of this EP and the group’s debut full-length album, they began to find their first dedicated fanbase in the form of punk rock fans in the UK.
Bikini Kill tickets began to be sold in larger numbers after the group’s UK success led them to work with legendary rock icon Joan Jett. Jett produced the Bikini Kill single “Rebel Girl” and helped the group reach a larger audience. However, due to the band's punk nature and attitude, they became a controversial part of the musical landscape. After misrepresentation by many music fans' press and vilification, the group decided to break up after their 1997 album Reject All American. Luckily for fans of the band, Bikini Kill has been performing reunion shows and tours since 2017. Be sure to check out this influential, controversial and exciting group whenever you get the chance.
