The artwork effectively captured the theme of loss by portraying graphic photographs of the Vietnam War from journalists who had died for their efforts. The album was then followed up by Give Blood (2001), which was generally well-received. AllMusic rated it 4 out of 5 stars whereas Lambgoat gave it a 9 out of 10. Since then, Bane has produced more than four other albums and a handful of EPs.
