Most notably, it won a Lucille Lotrel Award for “best off-Broadway musical”, two Richard Rodgers Awards, and an Outer Critics Circle Award. Popular songs in the musical include “Hold Me, Bat Boy”, “Christian Charity”, and “Ugly Boy.”
