Get ready for the revival of an iconic English rock band with BEAT tickets. BEAT is a tribute act headed by former King Crimson member, Adrian Belew. He conceived the idea of the project in 2019 and spent five years recruiting and developing the supergroup’s concept. Other BEAT members include Tony Levin, also a former King Crimson member, Tool drummer Danny Carey and guitarist Steve Vai. The collective performs interpretations of hits from three of King Crimson's 1980s albums: Discipline, Beat, and Three of a Perfect Pair.
King Crimson was a rock band formed in 1968 in London and was part of the initial wave of 1970s progressive rock. Their debut album, In the Court of Crimson King (1969) was their most influential and successful record, with songs like “21st Century Schizoid Man“. The band went through several years of hiatuses and breakups before dissolving in 2021. Get your BEAT tickets to enjoy renditions of tracks like “Sleepless” and “Heartbeat” live. All members of BEAT are talented artists in their own right with years of experience working with artists like David Bowie, Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel, Whitesnake and more.
Belew and Levin joined King Crimson in the group’s revival period during the 1980s, and after departing from the band, both embarked on projects with various artists in the industry as well as their solo careers. Vai is a three-Grammy-winning guitarist, who has worked with the likes of Frank Zappa, Alice Cooper, Mary J Blige and more. He was named the “10th Greatest Guitarist” by Guitar World in 2012 and sold more than 15 million records throughout his career. While Carey has played with Tool since its formation, the drummer has also made contributions to works by Skinny Puppy, Carole King, Luck and others. In 2016, he was ranked among Rolling Stone’s list of “100 Greatest Drummers of All Time.”
