His current band features Adam Hoskins on guitar, Ryan Koenig on harmonica, washboard and mandolin, Joey Glynn on bass and Matthew Meyer on drums.

Born in central Illinois, he learned to play guitar, banjo and mandolin as a child and busked as he hitchhiked around the United States. In 2006, he released an album titled 'Marmalade' and had a stint with the string band The Hackensaw Boys and performed with Hoskins, Glynn and Koenig as the South City Three. 'Beat, Move & Shake' came out in 2008 followed by 'Riverboat Soul' in 2010.
