With seven big wins, including Video of the Year, Taylor Swift continued her dominant award show run at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. Swift is now tied with Beyoncé for most VMA wins ever with 30 Moon People each.

Swift, who also repeated as Artist of the Year, won most of her awards for “Fortnight.” The collaboration with Post Malone won awards for Song of the Summer, Editing, Collaboration and Direction. She also took home another individual award for Pop Video.

Though she is on a short touring hiatus, Swift will return to the stage this fall with a handful of North American dates to wrap up her record-setting Eras Tour. Gracie Abrams will open for Swift in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto and Vancouver.

Post Malone will also hit the road this fall with tour dates across the U.S. in support of his new country album F-1 Trillion

Megan Thee Stallion, who hosted the event, collected two of her own awards for Art Direction and Trending Video, which celebrated “Mamushi” and “BOA,” respectively. She brought Japanese rapper and “Mamushi” collaborator Yuki Chiba on stage for a mashup of songs from her Megan album.

Eminem was the night’s other multiple-award winner honored with Hip-hop video and Visual Effects. He opened the show with a performance of his hit song “Houdini.”

Ironically, Dua Lipa also won an award for her song “Houdini.” The unrelated track was recognized for its choreography.
