Jelly Roll will embark on his biggest headlining tour this fall with supporting acts Warren Zeiders and Alexandra Kay. The multi-genre hitmaker, known for songs like “Save Me” and “I Need A Favor,” was recently named Male Country Artist of the Year at the People’s Choice Awards.

The Rise of Jelly Roll

Born Jason DeFord, Jelly Roll released his first hip-hop project in 2003. He continued to release music over the next decade including a collaboration with Lil Wyte, “Pop Another Pill,” which garnered more than 6.3 million views on YouTube.

Jelly Roll secured his first No. 1 single on the Billboard rock chart with “Dead Man Walking” in May 2022 and was invited by Craig Morgan to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. The following January, Jelly Roll topped the country charts with “Son of a Sinner” off his album Ballads of the Broken (2021). Artists like Chris Young, Sam Hunt, Riley Green and Tech N9ne joined Jelly Roll on his 2023 Backroad Baptism Tour. In June of 2023, he released another album called Whitsitt Chapel which helped DeFord earn New Artist of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards.

Get to Know His Openers

Warren Zeiders and Alexandra Kay each released debut albums in 2023. Zeiders scored his first Platinum hit with “Ride the Lightning” from the 717 Tapes and followed that with Pretty Little Poison, which led to a sold-out tour that is scheduled through July. He has grown a global following with more than 1.8 billion streams. 

Kay dropped her first album All I’ve Ever Know and it debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes country chart. She released it independently but has already collaborated with industry giants like Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina and Randy Travis.
