Global star Missy Elliott announced she will embark on her first headlining tour this summer. The ‘Out of This World’ tour kicks off on July 4 in Vancouver and makes stops in cities across North America like Seattle, Houston, Brooklyn and Montreal. Special guests joining Elliott on tour include Grammy-Award-winning singer Ciara, hip-hop icon Busta Rhymes and multi-platinum producer, Timbaland.
While Elliott’s last studio album, The Cookbook, was released in 2005, she has continued to produce music and collaborated with artists like Lizzo on the 2019 single, “Tempo”. That same year, Elliott released her debut EP Iconology, featuring tracks like “Throw It Back” and “Cool Off.” Previously in 2015, the “Lose Control” rapper joined Katy Perry during the pop star’s Super Bowl halftime show, along with singer Lenny Kravitz.
