What is Sick New World?
Sick New World is a one-day music festival that was first held in May at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, Nev. The music festival debuted in 2023, with a lineup of music artists that cross the genres of hard rock, nu-metal, alt-rock, heavy metal, and more. C3 Presents, the company that produces this festival, is also responsible for other popular music festivals like Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees Music Festival and Austin City Limits. While similar to When We Were Young, Sick New World focuses more on nu-metal and hard rock music of the late ‘90s.

Sick New World takes place on Saturday, April 27, with gates opening at 11 a.m. and closing by 12 a.m.

Transportation
Once you’ve got your travel details figured out to get to Las Vegas, plan exactly how you will be getting to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. For locals or those staying on The Strip, walking to the festival grounds is a good option to save money. Other transportation options include:

- Rideshare service (Uber, Lyft)
- Personal vehicle
If you opt to drive to the festival be aware that there is NO direct access to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds for passenger vehicles. There will also not be any on-site parking, so map out a good place to park for free and walk the rest of the way. If you use the other transportation options like a taxi or rideshare service, there will be a drop-off location located at 810 Circus Drive, located on the South end of the festival grounds.

According to Sick New World’s bag policy, NO purses, backpacks and fanny packs can be brought onto festival grounds except for the following:
- Small clutch purses and fanny packs that are 6″ x 9″ or smaller do not need to be clear but can have no more than one pocket
- Other bags larger than 6″ x 9″ must be smaller than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ and clear
- No color-tinted bags
- No iridescent bags
- No opalescent bags
- Hydration packs are allowed but must be emptied of all liquid and have no more than two pockets in addition to the one holding the water reservoir.
Prohibited items include:
- Air horns or noisemakers
- Bicycles, skates, scooters or skateboards
- Blankets or towels
- Chairs
- Coolers
- Fireworks or explosives
- Glow Sticks or LED gloves
- Hoverboards or Segways
