After defeating No. 23 Toledo to win the Mid-American Conference Championship Game, Miami (OH) University leads a field of six MAC teams who accepted bowl game invitations. This is the eighth time in MAC history that the conference has produced six or more bowl-bound teams and the 14th with five or more in a single season.
Miami (OH) will face Appalachian State in the Avocados from Mexico Cure Bowl and Toledo will play Wyoming in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl. The other five teams are Ohio, Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, and Bowling Green. Dive deeper into their bowl game assignments below.

How Much Do Bowl Games Cost?
Bowl game tickets typically start around $30 for seats further away from the field. If you want to be closer to the field or up in a suite, tickets can cost several hundred dollars. Ticket prices will also depend on the matchup. For example, if you want to see one of the New Year’s Six games or a CFP Semifinal, those tickets will likely be more expensive since the game is considered higher quality.

Team Profiles
Ohio recorded its second consecutive nine-win regular season in 2023 and accepted an invitation to the Myrtle Beach Bowl. The Bobcats defeated Iowa State for their first victory against a Power Five opponent since 2017 and strung together five straight wins during that run. This will be Ohio’s second consecutive bowl game appearance and 14th overall.
Miami (OH) avenged a homecoming loss to Toledo with a 23-14 victory in the MAC Championship. The RedHawks are riding a five-game winning streak into the Cure Bowl where they will face App State in Orlando. Kicker Graham Nicholson has been raking in the accolades earning First-Team All-American nods from The Athletic, USA Today and the Associated Press.
NIU is set to make its 12th bowl game appearance in the last 16 seasons when the Huskies face Arkansas State in the Camellia Bowl. The Huskies won five of their last seven games to finish 5-3 in the MAC and boast the sixth-ranked passing defense in the country. They rank 21st in overall defense.
Eastern Michigan will face South Alabama in the 68 Ventures Bowl, marking their sixth bowl game appearance in the last eight seasons. This is the Eagles’ third consecutive bowl game invitation. EMU’s defense features two of the nation’s leading tacklers, Chase Kline and Joe Sparacio. They rank second and seventh, respectively, in tackles per game.
Bowling Green will make its second consecutive appearance in the Quick Lane Bowl when the Falcons face Minnesota. They carry a 7-5 record and a 5-3 mark in conference play into the postseason. Bowling Green is led on offense by tight end Harold Fannin Jr. and on defense by cornerback Jalen Huskey. Both were All-MAC first-team selections.
Toledo won 11 consecutive games and posted a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play to capture the MAC’s West Division crown for the second straight season. The Rockets will make their third consecutive bowl game appearance when they face Wyoming in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl. Toledo ranks 10th in the nation in rushing offense with 202.8 per game.
