The Musical Box band consists of singer and performer Denis Gagné, guitarist François Gagnon, bassist Sébastien Lamothe, keyboardist Ian Benhamou and drummer Bob St-Laurent. The band concentrates on the accurate staging of Genesis shows concentrating on lighting and costumes, with Denis Gagné recreating Peter Gabriel's on-stage persona and dialogue including growing his hair long and shaving in a bald spot.

The sights seen at The Musical Box shows are based on countless photos and films taken at Genesis concerts, in addition to the original slides used by the group during their shows.
