It is a private, Christian university founded in 1922. The Rams are members of the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics or the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). Coach Richard Morgan was hired in 2009 and led the Rams to a 17-16 record during his first campaign.
