Greg Cummings is a theater director, educator and playwright known primarily for a prolific slew of 10-minute plays. A member of the Dramatists Guild, Cummings has earned numerous awards and accolades for his writing. He received a five-year playwriting fellowship from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, traveling the East Coast writing and supporting secondary school drama teachers.
Cummings is perhaps most known for his Kiss, Then Tell, a collection of nine one-act romantic comedies geared toward high school casts and audiences. The collection offers multiple variations on the theme of the bittersweet aftermath of a couple’s first kiss.
Apart from his work as a playwright, Cummings has served as a theater director for several years at the elementary, middle and high school level. Each year he produces a festival to showcase student-written plays and has even written a playwriting textbook.
