Cappocchi and Bruce founded Dragged Under in 2019 out of the ashes of their previous band Rest, Repose. They filled out their lineup shortly afterward, then refined their signature sound that blends the traditional punk rock of the 1970s with the more extreme metalcore subgenre of the 1990s. In 2020, Dragged Under released their debut album The World Is In Your Way, which was a runaway success. The album was a top ten hit on iTunes’ US Alternative charts, and a top twenty hit on Billboard’s Top Alternative New Artists chart.
In the years that followed, the band toured alongside high-profile acts such as Beartooth, Wage War and The Used.
