The duo relocated to Chicago before releasing their eponymous debut album in 2009. Through the rest of the 2010s, Marbin began padding its lineup with a number of acclaimed jazz musicians including Jon Nadel and Everette Benton Jr. Their growing reputation for their genre-bending sound and sophisticated musical technicality saw Marbin perform at a number of prominent events and venues like the Chicago Jazz Festival, The Jazz Showcase and Andy’s Jazz Club. The band gained a significant boost in exposure when they toured as part of a jazz fusion supergroup with Jeff Berlin, Mike Clark and Scott Henderson.
