Witness the power of classical music unfold live on stage after you get Montgomery tickets. The world premiere of Jessie Montgomery’s music was originally conducted by Riccardo Muti and performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 2022. Jessie Montgomery was raised in a musical household and was involved in theater and music from an early age. She later went on to study violin at the Julliard School and received her bachelor’s. Shortly thereafter, she earned a master’s degree in Composition for Film and Multimedia from New York University.
Much of her early career was devoted to teaching at organizations like Community MusicWorks in Providence, RI. Since then, she founded the PULIQuartet and performed as a member of the Catalyst Quartet. She’s been commissioned by several renowned ensembles, such as the Albany Symphony, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and the National Choral Society. Her music has been performed by orchestras throughout the U.S. like the Atlanta Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, and Dallas Symphony as well. Any classical music aficionado in search of a breath-taking concert to attend this weekend should check out Montgomery tickets while her music is being featured at your local venue.
Over the years, the emerging composer has received a number of grants and awards. Among others, she received awards from the Sorel Organization and ASCAP Foundation. She released her debut album, Strum: Music for Strings, in 2015. Instantly, the album received raving reviews from fans and critics. Not only was it rated a 4.9 out of 5 stars on Amazon Music, but Maggie Malloy of Second Inversion touted Montgomery for incorporating a variety of musical elements, such as folk, improvisation, and poetry. Some of her most popular songs include “Banner”, “Starburst”, and “Source Code.”
