The Spell Tour Tickets
Embark on a musical, magical journey into a fairy tale after you buy The Spell tickets and watch in awe how dance can transform into an intriguing story. The world premiere for the production was originally performed by the City Ballet School and was accompanied by the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. The ballet is a fantasy story based on Brother Grimm’s fairytale, The Twelve Dancing Princesses. The story centers around a group of princesses who are bound by a spell that forces them to dance all night long. When the king finds that his daughters’ dancing shoes are out each morning, he attempts to solve the mystery behind the curse.
Meanwhile, a peasant boy named Peter falls in love with the youngest princess, Elise. When Peter discovers a magic cloak, his quick wit leads him to solve the mystery and break the curse to save Elise. Anyone who loves a good fairy tale story but who also enjoys the art of dance should buy The Spell tickets. This is one dance production that the entire family can enjoy. The piece is set to an original score by composer Arshak Sirunyan with choreography by Danielle Horochowski. The breathtaking dance performance features stunning costumes and places an emphasis on Hagerstown's history.
