Thee Phantom Concert Tickets
See a whole new take on classical music with Thee Phantom tickets. Thee Phantom is the stage name for Jeffrey M. McNeill, an arranger and multi-instrumentalist from Pennsylvania. He is known for combining hip-hop music with live orchestration. He records and performs with an ensemble of classically trained musicians known as the Illharmonic Orchestra.
Born in Philadelphia, McNeill began writing songs at an early age. By the time he was twelve years old, he had already produced his own instrumental track combining the Beastie Boys with Beethoven. In 2002 he became the first rap artist to perform at the Kimmel Center, where he presented hip hop music set to music by the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. His live shows have since grown to include sitar players, DJs and breakdancers.
In 2003 McNeill released his debut single “Storming the Bastille,” which received widespread radio play across the East Coast and in Europe. In 2006 McNeill performed on television for the first time on Philadelphia’s NBC 10. Later that year he released his first full-length album Thee Phantom’s Hero Complex through his own label, Invisible Man Productions.
