After the debut of Chromaticity in August 2001, he took a lengthy sabbatical from recording solo albums and collaborated with a variety of other musicians and bands, notably as part of supergroups CAB and Ring of Fire. In 2010, he teamed up with progressive metal group Seven the Hardway to release their self-titled LP. He has also collaborated on Sherinian's seventh studio album Oceana (2011).
