Come watch the oldest national soccer tournament in the United States with U.S. Open Cup tickets. The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, frequently referred to as the U.S. Open Cup or USOC, is a national knockout soccer tournament held by the United States Soccer Federation, or USSF. It pits the four professional leagues sanctioned by the USSF against each other: Major League Soccer, the USL League One and Championship League, National Independent Soccer Association, and amateur teams from USL League Two, the National Premier Soccer League, the United States Adult Soccer Association and U.S. Club Soccer.
The tournament premiered in the 1913-14 season and was called The Challenge Cup. Brooklyn Field Club won the first tournament, receiving a trophy given by Thomas Dewar to promote soccer in the United States. It was renamed the Lamar Hunt Cup in 1999.

US Open Cup Ticket Prices
US Open Cup ticket prices will vary based on the opponent, demand for the match, and your seat location. Seats near midfield and those in the lower levels will be more pricey than spots behind the goals. Suites and club-level seats will have the highest prices of any seats in the facility. Postseason matches and rivalry matchups will be the most expensive during any season, as costs rise to meet increased demand. Grab your tickets early with TicketSmarter to avoid a late rise in cost.
US Open Cup Soccer Game Schedule
The North American Soccer League uses a split-schedule approach. Teams play from April through November with a four-week break in July. The playoffs take place in November with the winning team taking home the Soccer Bowl trophy. Teams are also eligible to play in the U.S. Open Cup, a tournament with every semi-pro and professional American club. The cup is normally a summer tournament taking place between early June and late August. NASL squads start in the second round of the competition.
