Bloodstone Concert Tickets

Buy Bloodstone tickets today with TicketSmarter! Before being known as the legendary Bloodstone, the band got its start in high school during the 60s. They were a doo-wop group calling themselves the Sinceres. By 1968, they were touring with Kansas City natives, Smokin' Emeralds, and drawing crowds with their Motown-inspired sound. After adjusting their roster, tuning their skills and moving to LA, their management suggested a new name and Bloodstone was born. By the 1970s, they released their first self-titled album under Decca Records, a British record label. It wasn't until their second album, Natural High, that they reached the U.S. R&B Top 10, with their single, “Natural High”, being number 10 on the Pop chart. Experience this chart-topping funky soul band by purchasing Bloodstone tickets through TicketSmarter.

They achieved international recognition as well when the single reached the top 40 on the UK charts in 1973. The Natural High album went on to sell over one million copies and was certified gold by the RIAA in that same year. By 1975, they broke into film by starring in and writing the music for the film “Train Ride to Hollywood”. Despite over 35 years of performing, they don't show signs of slowing down. They’ve joined the stage with other classic R&B and soul artists for live performances all over the country, as well as headlined their own shows.

Unfortunately, they've lost several bandmates along the way. The only original members who remain are Harry Williams and Charles McCormick who play keyboard and bass respectively. In 2002, Donald Brown joined to offer his guitar skills. They all contribute vocals to their music and Hense Powell acts as the musical director for the group. Even with band members passing away or moving on, they were still recognized in 2019 by The National R&B Music Society with a Lifetime Achievement Award. They are known for their timeless contributions to American music and pushing the R&B genre forward into the black rock and funk influences of the 70s. It’s no wonder they were recognized for shaping one sector of American music to the benefit of audiences everywhere.

Bloodstone Concert Schedule

Bloodstone has been across the country headlining or joining other legends to perform live R&B music. They’ve played on the same stage as Rose Royce in Anaheim but also headlined in Alexandria, Va., in 2019. They also had a chance in 2020 to play under the same roof as The Emotions, Enchantment, and The Intruders. They’re no strangers to NYC, Chicago, or their native Kansas City. It would be no surprise to catch them in those places again.
