By the age of three, he was interested in rap and by six was rapping as an amateur artist. The 1993 Chronic Tour stop at the Battelle Grand inside the Greater Columbus Convention Center, featured Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. A young Shad Moss got on stage and started rapping. He was then lead backstage, where Snoop Dogg gave him his stage name Lil’ Bow Wow. He was flown out to Los Angeles where he appeared on the track “Gz and Hustlas” as a part of the Doggystyle album. Lil’ Bow Wow also appeared on the Arsenio Hall later that year as well as in the music video for “Gin and Juice.” He met record producer Jermaine Dupri in 1998 and got a song in the 1999 movie “Wild Wild West”. In 2000, he released his first studio album, Beware of Dog. By 2001, it had been certified double platinum, with over two million records sold, by the Recording Industry Association of America. He has released seven studio albums with his last one New Jack City II being released in 2009. Bow Wow is currently under contract with Bad Boy Records. Shad Moss announced the end of his rap career in 2017. He made his acting career debut in the movie Like Mike and has since made appearances in the Fast and the Furious franchise and Lottery Ticket with Ice Cube. He starred as Brody Nelson in CSI: Cyber through 2016. His most recent TV appearance was in The Masked Singer when he earned third place as the Frog. Bow Wow 2024 Tour Dates
Currently, Bow Wow is on the first leg of The Millennium Tour. Other names on the tour include Omarion, Ying Yang Twins and Soulja Boy. Tentatively this tour will restart at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta in March 2021. The tour is expected to stop at the Little Caesars Arena, the Oakland Arena and the AmericanAirlines Arena.
