With a somewhat ironic title given these successive twists of fate, Happiness appears in 2009. And the musical chairs continue, with Zachary Garren, the guitarist, who has to leave the group for incompatibility of mood. He would form the math-rock group Strawberry Girls soon after. A surprise never arriving alone, the group strengthens with two well-known heads, since it is Jon Mess and Eric Lodge who reappeared in 2010, Kurt Travis, meanwhile, left his position in favor of Jonny Craig ( who returns for two short years, before finally leaving the microphone to his replacement)… Josh Benton, former partner of Kurt Travis in No Not Constant, will provide him with the guitar. In the midst of all this turmoil, the group still manages to give birth to a series of high-value albums, Acceptance Speech (2015), Instant Gratification (2015), Mothership (2016), or Artificial Selection (2018). Dance Gavin Dance then released a remastered version of Acceptance Speech in 2019 before releasing in April 2020 its ninth discographic effort, Afterburner.
