He has been performing live since he was in his teens and formed The Alan Parsons Project with Eric Woolfson in 1975. They put out a number of hit albums, including I Robot, Eye in the Sky, Ammonia Avenue, Vulture Culture, Stereotomy and Gaudi. In 1990 the two split ways as Woolfson decided to devote his career to musical theatre, while Parsons dedicated himself to performing live concerts and recording symphonic rock music. His electronic album, A Valid Path, was released in 2004. In 2008, he released The Essential Collection, an extended form reissue of the Alan Parsons Project albums. “Sirius” is arguably the most popular track, having been used as the Chicago Bulls theme in addition to other sporting events, commercials and films. After several shifts in the band over the years, Alan Parson’s group now consists of P.J. Olsson, Todd Cooper, Tom Brooks, Guy Erez, Jeff Kollman, Danny Thompson and Dan Tracey.
