The band consists of Andrew Frasco on vocals and keys, Ernie Chang on sax, Shawn Eckels on guitar and vocals as well as a constantly rotating and revolving cast of additional members which form “the U.N.” The band’s sound has been described as "blues-rock fueled by reckless abandonment and a disregard for the rules, with witty lyrics to back it all up." Frasco frequently calls additional guest musicians to join his band on stage during sets, as well as fans. Shows are highly improvisational featuring impromptu “battles” between band members. Frasco's shows are also highly interactive, often stopping the show to speak directly to audience members, as well as invite people in the audience up on stage. 

The band has toured the U.S. numerous times over, and in Europe and China, performing at festivals like Wakarusa, Electric Forest Festival and Yonder Mountain String Band's Harvest Festival. Andy Frasco & The U.N. was selected by Live for Live Music as the top performance pick for Electric Forest Festival 2014, as crowds had become so excited that they repeatedly attempted to rush the stage. The band’s first studio album Love, You're Just Too Expensive was released in 2010.
