Home games are played at Bob Suter’s Capitol Ice Arena in Middleton, Wisc., which can seat 1,300 people.

The team was founded in 1984 and its first coach was Bob Suter. Home games were played at Hartmeyer Ice Arena. Scott Owens took over in 1986, turning the team into a winning franchise. Owens coached the Capitols until 1991, moving to Des Moines and coaching the Des Moines Buccaneers and Colorado College.
