Jon became a comedic movie actor in 2008 when he was cast as Raymus for the popular Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. His performance was followed up in 2014 as Reevis in Into the Storm and in 2021 as Alfie in Poker Run. 

In 2017, Jon Reep brought his comedy to a larger audience when featured on the Netflix special, Brad Paisley's Comedy Rodeo. That same year, Jon's comedy special, Ginger Beard Man, debuted on Amazon Prime. In 2019, Jon Reep released his standup album Ginger Pain.
