It wasn’t until the release of their fourth album, Autobahn, that the band started to see international success. In the United States, the album peaked at number 5 in the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes. After the success of Autobahn, Schneider and Hutter invested in updating their studio and equipment, allowing their sound to stay fresh.
