The band earned widespread radio play and a spot at the South by Southwest music festival. Their performance saw them sign to Giant Records, through which they released their hit “Here & Now.”

The song would make it into the top ten on Billboard’s Modern Rock Singles chart. With the 1995 release of Wholesale Meats and Fish, Letters to Cleo begin touring widely with high-profile groups like Our Lady Peace and Sponge. The band also enjoyed commercial success with work for film and television, including writing songs for Melrose Place, Generation O!, and 10 Things I Hate About You.
