Alongside his work as a performer, Taylor has pursued a successful career as an academic and as well as being the artist in residence at Harvard from 2000 through to 2006, has also had a long term association with Berklee College of Music where he is a professor. Taylor drew upon his wide experience as a performing artist to write the self-help book 'Stage Performance' which went on to become a key component of the curriculum at Berklee and deals with subjects as diverse as stage fright, microphone technique, handling booking agents and how to dress on stage. With 19 albums to his credit and numerous hit singles, he remains one of America's most consistently successful folk performers.
