Pom Pom Squad is a pop-rock and grunge band from New York made up of members Alex Mercuri, Shelby Keller, Mari Ale Figeman and Mia Berrin. Pom Pom Squad originally began as Berrin’s solo project, which she started in 2015 at eighteen years old. The artist moved to Brooklyn, performing at local venues under the name before releasing the Hate It Here EP in 2017. 

Berrin then met the other members at a music club and quickly recruited their talents for Pom Pom Squad. The completed lineup released their EP Ow in 2019, which was met with widespread critical acclaim. With a burgeoning fanbase in hand, Pom Pom Squad then secured spots at the South by Southwest Festival as well as tour dates opening for high-profile acts like Disq and The Front Bottoms. In 2020 the band released a slew of cover songs along with their hit single “Red with Love.”
