The band consists of members Cody Carson, Maxx Danzinger, and Zach DeWall. Carson began his career by posting videos of his music on YouTube, and after exchanging his videos with All Time Low’s frontman Alex Gaskarth, he was given the opportunity to perform at one of the band’s concerts. He soon dropped out of college to start his band with Danzinger and DeWall.

The band’s first EP, Baby, You Don't Tripajahard, was released in 2008. They released several more EPs in the years to come until they signed with Equal Vision Records in 2011. One year later, they released their full-length debut album, Cinematics, which debuted at the number 4 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.

In 2014, the group released another album and toured with Black Veil Brides. They have played in over 22 tours since 2008 and are known for their lively performances and widespread tour dates.
