Effortlessly drifting between soft lullabies and abrasive hard rock this band represents both sides of their hometown Boston Massachusetts.

The band is made up of Leah Wellbaum (vocals, guitar), Kyle Bann (bass), and Will Gorin drums. With Leah and Gorin originally searching for a heavier sound meeting with bassist Bann helped them become the full package. Producing an everflowing sound that twists between grunge, garage rock, and alternative rock Slothrust have their own unique brand of music. With the beautiful voice of Leah Wellbaum layered over raucous instrumentals Slothrust tickets are as dynamic as it gets.

With the release of their debut album Feels Your Pain in 2012 they quickly had a song featured on the FX television show You're the Worst. Quaint synchronicity as Slothrust’s music personifies the bold feeling of making the best of a situation regardless of what’s pulling you back. Songs like “Sleep Eater” sound great live as they teleport you to the artist’s imaginary world. Often succinct while still being totally random lyrics like “Cereal in the shape of ghosts melting in your milk, melting in your mouth Fruit Loops look like inner-tubes. In your grandma’s pool were you floating around?” Consistently evoking multiple emotions and memories on every song Slothrust plays to many different moods.
