Members Todd Fink, Graham Ulicny, Clark Baechle and Dapose (a diverse musical enthusiast and death metal guitarist) are a force to be reckoned with. The band is credited under a variety of musical genres from post/punk and revival to dance/punk and new wave. In 1999, the band greeted listeners with its underground hit Blank-Wave Arcade which premiered eclectic dance and techno-inspired grooves. The group’s sophomore effort, Wet From Birth was equally successful.

In an interview with Pitchfork Magazine, the band claimed it was offered a major record deal. Fink, Ulicny, Baechle and Dapose ultimately decided to remain independent, noting the importance of maintaining creative control over their music. The group has toured all over North America with British electronic sensation, Ladytron. Baechle and Fink have also performed under the nomenclature Depressed Buttons, slaying remixes of other artists and DJing for a smattering of small clubs and venues.
