The three-person band consists of Brandon Hagen on lead guitar and vocals, Zack Abramo on bass guitar and vocals and drummer Drew McDonald. Vundabar released their first full-length album in 2013 titled Antics. In 2015, they released their second full-length LP titled Gawk. That release was followed by Smell Smoke, then Either Light. Vundabar’s fifth album Aphasia came out in 2021. The band records under their own label, Gawk records.

By writing high-quality and dynamic music, and then connecting it to outstanding videos with innovative ideas, Vundabar has secured a significant place in the surf rock genre. Performing is a central aspect of the band, allowing for more spontaneity. Brandon Hagen has said that their creativity flourishes when they get up on stage, and that live performances offer an outlet, saying, “I’d just be bored otherwise, I really hate seeing three dudes standing on stage, sulking.”

The first Vundabar's Tour began right after the release of Antics in 2013, they played in France in 2014, and have been constantly touring every year in both North America and Europe.
