In 2000, they released their debut EP Lost for Worlds and steadily started gaining momentum. During this period the group would tour with groups like Anberlin and Seether before finally finding a deal with Columbia Records. In 2005, the group released their debut full-length album entitled Phantoms but they would disband the following year.
Despite their short run at the top, the majority of the band remained in the music industry. In 2015, the group was formed and fans could quench their thirst for Acceptance tickets once again. The band showcased the song “Take You Away” to announce their return along with a performance at Skate & Surf 2015. In 2017, the group released their second studio album entitled Colliding by Design. The lineup of Acceptance has included Jason Vena (lead vocals, keys, bass), Kaylan Cloyd (lead guitar), Garrett Lunceford (drums), Christian McAlhaney (rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Ryan Zwiefelhof (bass). Their sound is reminiscent of groups like Jimmy Eat World with a pop spin on punk rock.
