The New York City-based comedian was born in Boston and raised in Brookline, Mass., where he began performing stand-up at age fifteen. Following high school, Edelman spent a year in Jerusalem at a yeshiva and while there helped to establish Off the Wall Comedy, the city’s first comedy club. He relocated to New York City in 2008 to attend New York University where he graduated in 2012.

While attending college, Edelman continued performing stand-up and joined the Upright Citizens Brigade, the improv comedy program known for breaking the careers of Amy Poehler, Adam McKay, Aubrey Plaza and more. The comedian began finding success in 2014 in the UK, where he performed his show Millennial at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe which earned him the “Best Newcomer” award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. He returned to the festival the following year to perform his show Everything Handed to You, which once again received rave reviews. His show Just for Us expanded his worldwide buzz with a nomination for “Best Show” at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Awards.
