Berlioz Concert Tickets
Enjoy a night of symphonic music from the Romantic area with Berlioz tickets. Hector Berlioz was born on December 11, 1803, in south-eastern France. Berlioz was educated at home by his progressive-minded father, who wanted him to pursue medicine. Young Hector was taught the rudiments of the flageolet, a wood-wind instrument by his father and then learned flute and guitar from local teachers.
As a youth, Berlioz wrote several chamber music pieces but destroyed them soon thereafter. However, one piece’s main theme stayed with him and was reused in the overture to Les Francs-Juges. Berlioz then moved to Paris to attend university and study medicine at the age of 17 and had more musical opportunities, and got his first exposure to Christoph Willibald Gluck, one of his major influences.
Experience a composer who has been described as being a “lone wolf” with Berlioz tickets. After graduation, Berlioz abandoned medicine and joined the Conservatoire to study music. The first concert of his work was held in 1828. While in the Conservatoire he also discovered Shakespeare, Beethoven and Goethe, who would also influence his work. Berlioz would compose during the time of the French Revolution, remarking in a memoir that he could hear bullets falling outside his window. After some years in the 1840s where he struggled, he became internationally famous in the 1850s, before passing away in 1869.
