Betcha is a four-piece alternative rock band from Nashville known for their genre-bending psychedelic sound reminiscent of groups like Tame Impala and Parcels. The band is composed of Chase Wofford on drums, Taylor Dubray on bass, Ben Booth on lead guitar and Charlie Greene on vocals.
Betcha came together in the mid-2010s after the members met while studying at Nashville’s Belmont University. Originally playing under the name Wilder, the group recorded a series of demos with the assistance of Grammy Award-winning producer Jacquire King. The demos caught the eye of Atlantic Records, with whom they signed in 2017.
The following year the band changed their name to Betcha, a combination of the first letters of each band member’s name. They released their self-titled debut EP soon afterward, which garnered significant critical acclaim. Their successes continued with the release of their sophomore EP Feels Like We’ve Been Here Before in 2020, which featured contributions by Nick Bailey of The Aces, Brian Phillips of Saint Motel and JT Daly of Paper Route.
