Black Midi released their debut single “bmbmbm” in 2018. Schlagenheim, Black Midi’s first album, was released in 2019. It entered the top 50 of both the UK Albums Chart and Billboard’s Independent Albums chart. They were also nominated for the UK’s Mercury Prize the same year. Black Midi is also known for their spoken word album, The Black Midi Anthology Vol. 1: Tales of Suspense and Revenge. Released in 2020, this album features four short stories read by the band members over instrumentals. Black Midi is touring Europe and the Americas.
