Between 1998 and 2000, his touring band underwent extensive changes, leading to the new band called the Noisemakers. The new group consisted of Steve Kimock on guitar, John ‘J.T.’ Thomas on keyboards and organ, J.V. Collier on bass, Doug Derryberry on guitar and mandolin, Sonny Emory on drums and Bobby Read on electronic woodwinds.
