The group's name pays homage to the Irish town from which their family immigrated, and their sound is influenced by an eclectic mix of artists like Stevie Wonder, ABBA, and The Strokes.
Castlecomer gained a loyal following in Australia before making their mark internationally. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2018 through Concord Records, included popular tracks like “Fire Alarm” and “All of the Noise.” Highlighting the band’s knack for catchy melodies and upbeat rhythms, “Fire Alarm” became a breakout hit, racking up millions of streams and garnering widespread attention. Castlecomer's success in the U.S. was further cemented with performances at renowned festivals like South by Southwest (SXSW) and concert ventures across the country, including their 'Leave What’s Left' tour in 2019.
In addition to their festival appearances, Castlecomer has shared the stage with notable acts such as The Wombats and Kodaline. Their 2020 project Leave It to Me features more anthemic, danceable tracks that showcase Castlecomer's signature sound while continuing to evolve creatively.
