Watch your favorite college teams compete this postseason with CBI Tournament tickets. The CBI Tournament stands for the College Basketball Invitational. It was started by The Gazelle Group in 2007 and happened at the end of the men's collegiate basketball season. It features 16 teams that were not selected to play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournament or the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).

The CBI Tournament runs a little differently where the first round is played in two days, the second round just one day a week later, and the semi-finals two days later along with the championship being played in a best of three series instead of single elimination like the other big contests. Most of the games have been broadcast on such sports stations as ESPNU and the CBS Sports Network to name just two.

Watch this unique tournament live with CBI Tournament tickets. The first year the tournament saw Tulsa Golden Hurricanes and the Bradley Braves competing for the title. The first game went to Tulsa by a final score of 73-68. In the next game, Bradley won 83-74. The third and final game saw Tulsa pull out yet another single-digit victory to claim the title. The Golden Hurricanes won the final game 70-64.

CBI Tournament Ticket Prices

Several variables will affect CBI Tournament ticket prices. The most important is the level of demand for a given contest. Non-conference games between little-known teams can be fairly inexpensive while tickets to the NCAA Tournament or NIT can be much more expensive. Conference tournaments and other conference contests can be a happy medium for fans who want to watch quality hoops without breaking the bank.

How much are CBI Tournament tickets?

Courtside and premium seats will cost much more while spots in the upper levels of an arena are typically more affordable. Typically, courtside seats for a conference game will be over $100 per ticket.

Costs can rise in the postseason. The average men’s March Madness ticket for first and second-round contests carried a cost of $173 while prices rose to as high as $135 for women’s games. Women’s Final Four and Championship tickets usually start around $114 while prices can rise as high as $1200. Men’s Final Four tickets will run around $555 for just the semifinals and $349 for only the title game.

Early season tournaments like the NIT Season Tip-off will usually cost between $19 and $172. NIT tickets for the upper level of Madison Square Garden will be the cheapest with costs usually in the $19 to $35 range. The Preseason WNIT, which features many of the best women’s basketball teams in the nation, will usually have costs between $15 and $50. WNIT Tickets will change in cost depending on which team is hosting too.
