Home games are played in CHI Memorial Stadium, a 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in East Ridge, Tennessee. The stadium opened in 2020 and is also the home to the Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves SC of the Women’s Premier Soccer League and the Dalton Red Wolves SC of USL League Two. Its first match was a game between the Red Wolves and FC Tucson.

Hankinson coached collegiate soccer at Depaul and Syracuse, becoming the Big East Coach of the Year in 1986. He also served as head coach at UMF Tindastoll in Iceland’s Urvalsdelid, or First Division, while also coaching with the Nike Project-40 program. There, he worked with future stars such as Ben Olson and US Nation team member Tim Howard.

The name Red Wolves SC was announced on September 25, 2019. Robert Martino owns the franchise as well as the Division II teams the Dalton Red Wolves and the Park City Red Wolves.
