Of Romany descent, Lloyd studied performing arts and twice auditioned unsuccessfully for X Factor before finally making it into the final stages in 2010.
Mentored by Cheryl Cole, she duetted with will.i.am in a mash-up of Where Is The Love and I Gotta Feeling in the final, eventually finishing fourth. Her debut single Swagger Jagger topped the UK charts in the summer of 2011, with the follow-up With Ur Love - also featuring Mike Posner - reaching Number 4. Working with writer Autumn Rowe and producer RedOne, her first album Sticks & Stones - which included guest appearances by Busta Rhymes, Mic Righteous and Dot Rotten - was released in November, 2011, reaching Number 4 in the UK album charts.
