Further singles, Sunstroke and Offshore 97 were also hits before Chicane's first album Far From The Maddening Crowds was released in September 1997. His biggest hits, however, were still to come... Saltwater was released in 1999 with Clannad's Mary Brennan reprising her vocals from the group's Theme From Harry's Game.
It hit Number 6 in the UK charts and topped every dance chart in the UK. Surpassing this was his collaboration with Bryan Adams on Don't Give Up which hit Number 1 on the UK charts and went silver. Chicane's second album Behind The Sun also went gold. After a brief hiatus, during which Bracegirdle was embroiled in legal action with label Xtravanganza, he returned in 2006 with Stoned In Love featuring Tom Jones on vocals.
