Christmas in Killarney was created by dancer Scott Doherty and musician Chris Smith. Doherty was previously the 2009 World Champion of Irish Dance, mentored by the renowned Rita O’Shea. He has performed in numerous productions, most notably in Riverdance and Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance. Smith grew up in Virginia and worked as a lighting designer for Yanni and My Chemical Romance before touring as a percussionist with Celtic rock band The American Rogues. Previous productions created by Smith are Souled Out and Altar Boyz.
The creative vision of Doherty and Smith, Christmas in Killarney’s staff includes Broadway director Jeff Whiting and Emmy-winning set designer Jason Ardizzone-West.
