Clara Luciani is a guitarist and singer-songwriter from France known primarily for her work as the lead singer of the pop punk band La Femme. Luciani was born in 1992 in Martigues and studied art history as a young woman before pursuing a career in music. She developed a love for songwriting after encountering the work of artists like Paul McCartney, Nico and Francoise Hardy, who heavily influenced her signature sound.
In 2011 Luciani joined La Femme, writing songs and singing on their hit 2013 album Psycho Tropical Berlin in particular. Luciani then briefly performed as part of the pop duo Hologram, which she formed with Maxime Sokolinski in the mid 2010s. In 2016 Luciani gave celebrated appearances on the Somnambules Tour alongside star folk rocker Raphael.
The following year the artist teamed up with Ambroise Willaume of Revolver and Benjamin Lebeau of The Shoes to release her first solo EP Monstre D’Amour, which met with widespread critical acclaim. She released her debut full-length album Sainte-Victoire in 2018, which she supported with a tour on Australia’s famed So Frenchy So Chic festival series.
