Consider the Source released their self-titled demo EP the following year, they released their debut album Esperanto in 2007.
The band gained some of their first serious exposure when jazz critic Howard Mandel listed Esperanto as one of his favorite albums of the year. On the back of such recognition, Consider the Source began touring the US extensively and playing prominent events like New York City’s Fretless Guitar Festival.
In 2009 and 2010 the group released their albums Are You Watching Closely? and That’s What’s Up, respectively. Despite a handful of lineup changes, Consider the Source toured Europe and the Middle East and began playing celebrated acoustic sets at summer festivals. The group has been praised by critics for their unique blend of elements from psychedelic rock, jazz and Indian classical music.
